Martini in the Morning is an architectural and interior design project for a holiday rental development in Pensacola, Florida. Working from the supplied lot master plan, we designed six compact villas, each containing two independent accommodation units.
The design
Privacy shaped the layout. Each unit has its own entrance and a dedicated backyard with a swimming pool. The lower unit occupies the ground level, while two external staircases provide access to the upper unit from opposite sides of the villa.
The architecture pairs clean white volumes with tall arches, generous glazing and terraces. Landscaped boundaries define the private outdoor spaces and connect the individual villas into a coherent setting.
Inside, warm timber tones, woven textures and soft neutral finishes create a relaxed atmosphere. Olive cabinetry and terracotta accents bring colour to the kitchen, while a timber screen separates sleeping and sitting areas without fully enclosing them. The interiors extend the sense of privacy and ease that guided the overall design.
